This neighbourhood is now complete. The terrain was made by Elfstone Designs - Simville
N99 under Terrain
I don't do wallpapers and floors. I'm no good at them. I haven't used any custom wallpapers or floors out there. You probably already have the ones you want to use. You're definately
capable of finding one of the myriad 'Sims 1' sets out there and don't need me adding the ones I've found to your downloads folder (although I may mention a few good Sims 1 replica's as I
go along). The houses themselves have undergone a little 'poetic licence' on my part to make them fit as I believe they should.
Because of the lack of coffee & patisserie carts (as well as pool tables) in the base game I have substituted 2x1 tables for the carts and three 2x1 tables where-ever a pooltable should be.

3 Sim Lane
As you can see the doors and windows don't match from the Sims 1 version to the Sims 2 version, when I wasn't downloading Sims 1 walls and floors for Sims 2 I also didn't download doors and windows. Try Windkeeper at MTS2 (amoung others).

70 Elm Street - requires Farmers' Set (With harvestable crops, electric fence & social scarecrow) by Echo, SimAddict99's Additional Harvestable Crops and Numenors Unlevel Wall that is now part of the SCRIPTORIUM. Without the unlevel wall the 'dog' houses I built in the little fenced yard will become 1x1 rooms. There wasn't an awful lot of poetic licence I could take in making a Sims 1 pet store in a basegame Sims 2 environment. This place is going to need a lot of redecorating by you to make it useful as anything (maybe even a pet store if you have Pets), but the framework is here and there's indications of how things should look - so I hope you find a use for it.

70 Elm Street - upgraded for Seasons - requires the Seasons Expansion.

|
76 Gunther Goth Highway - requires caravan wheel from Sims Design Avenue (was Sim 2 Caravan Shop) - themes - caravans - basic caravan - kit
|
76 Gunther Goth Highway with Mama, Eldon Hick and the dogs - requires everything the empty lot requires PLUS The Pets Expansion, dark eyebags, eyebags & dimples from Mermaid Cove, Hair Rollers by Innis and Elvis Sideburns by tumleee.
The base versions of Eldon and Mama were made by Jeanie, but then I fiddled, took some of the custom content out and added the dogs. We hope you like them. I, personally, think they are a pair of ignorant and messy Sims that should have the Pleasure aspiration (but that's not available with only the Pets EP installed).

Instructions
Well, the empty houses are all up now, but coming soon will be house versions with occupants. . . Because this Neighbourhood doesn't require relationships between the Sims in different houses and has no set townies the instructions for it's downloading are a little different from the Planet Of The Cats.
-
Go to Elfstone Designs and download Simsville N99. Unzip it and put the files into your 'My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains' folder.
- Be warned that this is a heavily decorated Neighbourhood that does not play well on lower end machines.
- An alternate Neighbourhood Terrain has been discovered and tested by Jeanie. It is by Melly Sim
at MTS2. It has much less decorations and incorporates all the Sims 1 landscape, but not all of the houses offered here will fit it.
- Another alternative is to download this terrain which is a copy of the Elfstone designs terrain
with all of the Neighbourhood decorations removed. It has not been tested in a low end machine (maybe you will do it for me and report back via the address on my main page?)
and I do not have permission to alter or post it because I can't get Elfstone Designs to talk to me.
- Download and install the houses you wish to use from above. Do not forget to download any required files which you do not already have in your game.
- Save a copy of the Sims 1 Neighbourhood road map which has the roads marked on it so that you can place your houses.
- Run your game and create a new Neighbourhood using the 'ed_Simvill-N99.sc4' terrain (or an alternative terrain).
- Place the houses you have downloaded into the Neighbourhood with reference to the map.
- Play your game.
