Scotia (requires computer skills and Sims 2 file skills to install)

This is not just a Neighbourhood. It has been designed to give you default townies and NPC's of a medieval flavour (ie you will not get Goopy when you spawn a new Neighbourhood). To do this it will be necessary to backup, move, delete and/or replace core game files and (as such) should not be undertaken by people of low computer literacy and/or low bravery. Instructions will be given but a certain level of knowledge is assumed and you undertake modifying your core game files at your own risk ('cause I don't want to be blamed if you F it up).

  • Pescado's antiredundandy and notownieregen (sorry it's not a direct link - you need to get the versions appropriate to your game version. These two mods will help stop your game from spawning un-neccessary (and out of theme) NPC's and Townies unless it is forced to (ie there are none available off-world at the time one is required). If you're running the Original version you may also wish to install notowniechildren. Hell - I suggest you have a thorough examination of the site and download almost everything of Pescado & TwoJeff's, then take serious thought about adding some of the mods by CBoy and SyberSpunk. It can only improve your game.
